Many people expected Stephen Colbert´s opening Emmy monologue would include discussion of politics and mentions of President Donald Trump but no one could have predicted a surprise cameo from former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, according to CNN. The former White House official made a brief appearance at the Emmy´s towards the ending of Colbert´s opening speech which appeared to mock Spicer´s defense of Trump´s inauguration attendance in January, the report said.
